Care Guides

Candle Care

Proper candle care can help your candles last longer and burn more evenly. Here are some essential tips:

Burn Evenly: When lighting a new candle, let it burn for at least one hour to ensure the entire surface melts evenly. This prevents tunneling, where only the center of the candle burns down, leaving a rim of solid wax.

Keep It Clean: Remove soot and debris from the candle container. Debris above the wax can ignite and cause multiple flames. Use tweezers to remove wick trimmings and a dry towel to wipe away fingerprints and soot.

Trim the Wick: Before lighting, check the wick length. Trim it to about 0.25 inches for a clean, even burn. A too-long wick can drown in melted wax, while a too-short wick won’t light properly.

Put It Out Carefully: Avoid blowing out the candle forcefully, as it can splatter wax. Use a lid or a snuffer. Alternatively, dip the wick into melted wax using a wick dipper.

Retire Wisely: Stop using a candle before it runs out of wax completely

Wax Melt Care

Here are a few care instructions that will ensure you maximize the life of your wax melts:

Store your wax melts in its container, in a cool, dry place. Ideally your wax melts should be stored away from direct light, artificial and natural, to ensure color does not fade.

The size of your room matters in regards to the strength of the scent throw. A larger room will require more wax melts for a strong scent throw. Our wax melts produce a great scent throw within the first 10 - 20 minutes of melting. To ensure a great scent throw, allow your wax melts to completely melt. Be sure to melt wax in a well ventilated area.

Do not add too many wax melts to your warmers. This may cause hazardous spills. Know the limits of your warmer before use of wax melts.
Remove all packaging before melting your wax.

Only use in tea-light warmers or UL listed electric warmers approved for wax melts. Be sure to read and follow all instructions for your warmer before first use.

Do not melt wax on stove or in a non-approved appliance.
Never leave melted wax unattended around children or pets.

Be sure to clear the wax surface of any dust or debris before your next melt.

Always cover wax after it is completely cooled. This will prevent any dust or debris from collecting on the wax's surface and causing a fire hazard. This will also ensure a great scent throw with each melt and extend the life of your wax melts.

Discontinue use when less than 1/2 of wax remains or wax no longer produces a scent. Melting the wax beyond this point is a fire hazard.
Please be sure to properly dispose of wax.

Do not pour down drains or in toilet.

Pour used wax back in original container.

Be careful as the wax will be hot. Allow to completely cool before disposing.

Diffuser Care

Generally speaking,

  • Start with 3-5 reeds: This is a good starting point for most standard-sized rooms.
  • Add or remove one at a time: Experiment by adding or removing one reed at a time until you achieve your desired scent intensity.
  • Monitor diffusion: Observe how the fragrance diffuses in your space with different reed quantities. This will help you find the perfect balance.

Additional Info:

  • Room size matters when using perfume diffusers. Consider using multiple reed sticks in larger rooms to evenly distribute fragrance.

  • Avoid placing your diffuser near high traffic areas such as doors or windows, as this may cause the fragrance to dissipate more quickly.

  • Experiment with placement: Try different spots in your room until you find one that provides optimal scent diffusion for your perfume or reed diffuser liquid.

Follow these suggestions to extend the lifespan of your reed diffuser.

  • Rotate your perfume reeds every few weeks to prevent clogging and maintain consistent fragrance release.
  • Keep the reed diffuser liquid bottle upright to avoid leakage and ensure even perfume oil distribution.
  • Avoid placing your perfume diffuser on delicate surfaces that may be damaged by spills or leaks.
  • Store unused perfume reeds in a cool, dry place to preserve their effectiveness.

Freshie Care

Here are some care instructions to help you get the most out of your freshies:

  • Hang Them: Always hang your freshie. The most common use is to hang them from your rearview mirror for a burst of fragrance on the go but they can be hung in a window or any room or even in a closet to keep smelling fresh!

  • Avoid Extreme Temperatures: Freshies may melt in extreme heat. If your car will be parked in direct sunlight for an extended period, consider moving your freshie from the mirror to the turn signal area

  • Keep Away from Children and Pets: Freshies are not toys. Keep them out of reach of little hands and curious pets
  • No Wax Warmers: Do not use freshies in wax warmers. They are designed for hanging, not melting
  • Color Discoloration: White freshies may become discolored over time, especially with certain scents. For example, scents containing non-clear oils like strawberry leather or black raspberry vanilla may cause discoloration

  • Vent Clips: If you use vent clips, be careful not to scratch your car vents. Improper use may cause scratches
